As part of the Aorta é Vida (Aorta is life) campaign, Hospital Particular do Algarve is promoting, for the first time in the Algarve, free screenings of abdominal aortic aneurysm on November 24 and 25 in Alvor and Faro, respectively.
“If you are over 65 years of age, a smoker or former smoker and have a family history of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, you should not miss this screening,” said a spokesman for the hospital group.
“In Europe, about 80 million people over 60 years of age are at risk of having an abdominal aortic aneurysm.”
