Hospital Particular do Algarve (HPA) Group celebrated National Health Week (May 21 to 25) by offering 200 various screenings for free to patients at both the Alvor and Gambelas hospitals.
The screenings consisted of ophthalmological testing, ECG, podiatry specialist consultations to detect feet related problems, densitometry (bone density scan) for the detection of osteoporosis and mammography scan.
An after-work conference was also held on Tuesday evening by our professional maternity staff aimed at mothers-to-be, in order to answer all questions and allay any doubts common to future parents.
The event was a huge success with approximately 200 screening tests performed. The hospital will be holding other free screening days in the future.
