A FREE golf experience can still be had until Sunday, October 7 in the Central Plaza of the Forum Algarve shopping centre in Faro.
A practice putting green has been created, along with a four hole putting course and a golf area for people to try and learn golf daily from 11am until 2pm and 4pm until 10.30pm.
Tony Bennett, golf consultant and The Resident contributor, said: “Until now, it has been a great success with hundreds of golfers improving their skills and newcomers having their first experience of golf.”
Schools, clubs and associations from the region have been invited to take part in the project which has four main objectives; to learn, to compete, to train and to meet new people.
On Sunday afternoon, the Central Plaza will become a competition zone, hosting the Golf Forum Putting Challenge. This will be separated into two categories, juniors under 16 starting at 4.30pm and adults starting at 6pm.
