Foreigners’ association afpop has teamed up with Pestana Golf Integrated at the Pestana Vila Sol Golf Academy, near Vilamoura, to offer free golf clinics on June 6 from 3pm to 7pm. There will also be prize competitions, wine tastings, live music and demonstrations of beauty/physio treatments.
Open to all, the event is described as an opportunity to see “in action the most technologically advanced coaching environment in the Algarve that has been introduced by Pestana Golf Integrated”. It aims to help golfers to improve their game by allowing them to see exactly what they are doing.
Short game clinics will be held on the hour from 3pm to 6pm and long game clinics on the half-hour from 3.30pm to 6.30pm with competitions in between and prizes awarded every hour.
Presentations and tastings of a selection of Portuguese wines from smaller and lesser known wine estates will be made and there will also be accompanying bar nibbles.
The Wine about Golf event is free to afpop members and a charge of €10 will be made to non-members (refundable to those who join the association at the event).
