More than 15,000 pieces of fruit will be distributed at beaches cross the Algarve as part of a healthy eating promotion sponsored by Continente supermarkets.
Tomorrow (Saturday) on the beaches of Albufeira, Oura, Falésia, Quarteira, Praia da Rocha, Carvoeiro, Armação de Pêra and Salgados free peaches and nectarines will be given to beach goers.
A spokesman from Continente said: “The main objective of the initiative is to raise the awareness of the importance of eating at least five pieces of fruit or vegetables per day, as recommended by the World Health Organisation.”
