Free football tickets in exchange for donations

Portimonense football club is offering free entry to Sunday’s (April 13) home match against Tondela to fans who take along with them donations for the needy – the condition: the items much be valued at a minimum of €2.
The items will then be donated to associations helping vulnerable families in the area, such as the Centro Social Paroquial da Nª Srª do Amparo, the Flor Amiga Association and the social services of the CHA hospital units of Portimão and Lagos.
Favoured items include canned foods, milk, pasta, rice, baby formula, diapers and other hygiene products.
The charitable initiative is a way to encourage fans to go to the match and support Portimonense during a crucial time when the team are hoping to join Portugal’s football elite next year.
The game kicks off at 4pm at the Portimão Municipal Stadium.
