Two additional Covid-19 testing centres offering free tests to the population are available in Portimão – one can be found along the riverside area near the ‘coreto’ (bandstand) and the other at Portimão Arena, where the new vaccination centre for the town is now located.
At the riverside centre, tests will be carried out by the local Portuguese Red Cross. Opening hours are from 9am to 12 noon and 3pm to 7pm until December 30, and from 9am to 1pm on December 31 and January 2.
At the Arena centre, tests will be carried out by the Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, from 4pm to 7pm, until January 9.

Each citizen is now entitled to six free Covid tests per month, announced Prime Minister António Costa last week.
