The five municipalities of the Alentejo coast will provide free public transport to 10 beaches in the region in July and August as part of a pilot project to reduce car traffic in bathing areas. The project, run by the Intermunicipal Community of Alentejo Litoral (CIMAL), starts this Saturday and covers the Setúbal boroughs of Alcácer do Sal, Grândola, Santiago do Cacém, Sines, and the Beja borough of Odemira. Transportes do Alentejo Litoral will be supplying the buses and operating the seven routes.
