Loulé’s public bus network ‘Apanha-me’ will be free to use between November 30 and January 6 in a bid to encourage people to shop locally this festive season.
Anyone can get on one of the network’s buses at any time without the need for a ticket, the council explains.
The network covers parts of Loulé, Quarteira and Vilamoura.
The free bus service was agreed upon by Loulé Council, municipal company Loulé Concelho Global and local businesses in a bid to attract more people to local stores at a time that is considered “crucial” for the local economy.
On the other hand, the goal is also to promote “more shared, inclusive, sustainable and ecological mobility,” says the council.
