FREE HIV tests are being offered once a month throughout the year at the Continente shopping centre in Portimão, with the next session due on March 31, between 10am and 10pm.
The service is being offered by the Ministry for Health through the Algarve regional health authority, in partnership with the Centro de Aconselhamento de Detecção, the detection and counselling centre.
Screening will be offered at a mobile unit situated at the shopping centre’s entrance, staffed by specially trained nurses and technicians. The final session will be offered on December 1, World Aids Day.
