PSP police have issued a warning about a “fraudulent Pingo Doce supermarket campaign” that is spreading on Facebook.
Fears are that the campaign – promoted by an unofficial Facebook page called ‘Pingo Doce Club’ – is stealing personal information by asking people to fill in a form for a chance to win €1,000 gift cards.
The warning came originally from a Facebook page entitled ‘Miúdos Seguros na Net’ and was later shared by PSP police, who are directing anyone with any questions to their own Facebook page or email ([email protected]).
At time of writing, the campaign had over 13,000 shares and 12,000 ‘likes’.
