Fraud warning for customers of EDP comercial

A new fraud, using the name of EDP commercial, has been detected by the power company which is now warning customers to be ‘on the alert’. The fraud comes in the form of text messages which refer to the “taxa de regularização” not having been debited from their accounts. There then follows the standard payment notice, with ‘entity, reference and payment’ details. Anyone receiving such a text should query its content to EDP comercial direct.
