France demands tests within ‘less than 24-hours’ of people returning from Portugal

France is demanding that non-vaccinated people entering the country from Portugal (or Spain)  submit themselves to Covid tests within ‘less than 24 hours’. This is irrespective of the fact that they will have taken a Covid test in order to arrive in France. The measure was announced today and will apply from the weekend. Only last week France’s secretary of state for European Affairs Clément Beaune caused a mini-storm by advising citizens ‘not to travel to Portugal or Spain’ (click here).
