Frágil celebrates 25th anniversary

POPULAR LISBON nightspot Frágil is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Four Portuguese poets, Al Berto, José Agostinho Baptista, Herberto Helder and Mário Cesariny, will recite their work as part of the club’s birthday celebrations at 11pm on March 21 and 28.

“The idea was to create a night of contrasts between the bright lights and music of a discotheque and something more erudite,” said a club spokesman.

Frágil has played host to many of the main artistic tendencies in Portugal in the realms of music, art, poetry, literature and fashion over the past 25 years and is located in Rua da Atalaia 126, Bairro Alto.
