Two trains collided this past week in Granja do Ulmeiro, district of Coimbra, resulting in 14 injured people of whom nine were transported to the emergency service of Coimbra Hospital. According to sources from railway company CP, an intercity train and a regional train were travelling in a northerly direction when the intercity train, coming from Lisbon, hit the rear of the regional train near the Alfarelos station.
