Four Seasons Fairways hosted their sixth edition of the FSF Golf Masters on January 3 on the Quinta do Lago South course, former host of eight Portuguese Opens.
The tournament was played by 47 members in an Individual Stableford format, all vying for the various prizes on offer which included ladies and gents 1st and 2nd prize categories, nearest to the pin, longest drive and the much sought-after team event.
Players were faced with testing playing conditions in the form of a stiff breeze and fast greens, keeping the scores in check, but sunny conditions and a well stocked half way house ensured that all players thoroughly enjoyed the day and were well “hydrated”.
The golf round was followed by a gala prize giving dinner and the generous prize tombola made winners out of almost all participants.
A special mention to mighty winner, master Ben Hynes, who, at the tender age of 11, stood tall against the opposition and managed to bring in the best score of the day.
The next edition of the FSF Golf Masters is scheduled to be played on Friday, January 3, 2014.
