Two people homeless, six homes destroyed in Madeira’s wildfires

Wildfires in Madeira, now in the damping down stages, have left two people homeless, and destroyed at least six homes. The fires, on the west and north coast of the island, took days to be brought under control as the island sweltered under 30º temperatures. Some, if not all the incidents point to arson, for which a suspect is already in police custody.
