Four students from Nobel International School Algarve near Porches were medalists after the school athletics team took part in the Megas Track and Field Regional with all the schools from the Algarve on Tuesday, March 13.
The competition includes 40m sprint, 1km run, long jump, high jump, shot put and vortex throw. Each school enters one pupil in each event per gender. The competition has four different age groups per event (U10, U12, U14, U16).
The school participated with 41 students. Head of Physical Education Paulo Bitoque said: “Every team member did their best and we had lots of top 10 classifications and finalists in the different events. Well done to the whole team for such a superb effort and team spirit.”

1st place – Laura Bettencourt in vortex throw
1st place – Diana Lemeshko in high jump
3rd place – Mariana Cox in long jump
3rd place – Nikita Bolshov in long jump
