Four arrested in Messines for parish council and restaurant break-ins

GNR police have arrested four men believed to be behind a series of thefts in São Bartolomeu de Messines, Silves.

Reports Correio da Manhã tabloid, the group broke into the local parish council and a restaurant between Monday night and Tuesday morning, stealing a camera, a computer, dozens of packs of cigarettes, chocolates, beverages and a game machine.

The vehicle used by the suspects, two air guns, a knife and other tools were also seized following police searches at five houses and one vehicle.

The men are aged between 17 and 25. One will have to report to his local police station every day while the others must do so three times a week while they await trial.
