Two years on from their first major triumph, Mick Kavanagh and Tom Poolton secured their second pairs title with a combined score of 43 stableford points.
On a day which saw plenty of high scoring in great golfing conditions on the pristine Quinta do Lago South course, the pair held off the challenge of David Pugh and Nigel Whitaker with 42 points with Ann Campbell and Tony Lopategui a further point behind in third. The Longest drive winner was Thor Thomson and nearest the pin was Stuart Fairclough.
This popular event was the fourth year sponsored by Burrowhead Holiday Village, with thanks going to Stuart and Adrian Fairclough.
This month’s event takes place at Onyria Palmares on Wednesday, October 21 at 10am.
