FORMER PRESIDENT of Portugal, Jorge Sampaio will be in the Algarve on June 7 to speak at the inaugural Algarve – Andalucia Nursing Congress being hosted at Faro nursing school from June 6 to 8.
The objective of the congress is to discuss future challenges affecting the nursing profession and for the two neighbouring regions to share experiences and information.
Jorge Sampaio is the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for the Global Plan to stop Tuberculosis and he was recently designated as the UN’s High Representative for the Alliance of Civilisations.
