Former Manchester City and England winger in Tavira

The former Manchester City, West Brom, Leeds, Real Betis and England winger Peter Barnes will be enthralling guests with stories of his exploits at the Black Anchor Irish Bar, Tavira on Friday, March 1.

Peter played 22 times for his country and, at the age of 18, scored for Man City as they beat Newcastle 2-1 in the 1976 League Cup final.

The well-travelled winger has plied his trade in England, Australia, Spain, USA, N. Ireland, Irish Republic and Portugal where he made an appearance for SC Farense 30 years ago under manager Malcolm Allison.

Peter has many stories to tell and will be helping East Algarve Walking Football raise funds for their nominated charities.

Tickets at €10 are available from the Black Anchor Irish Bar and the Hairy Lemon Bar, Rua do Monte Verde, Conceição de Tavira, or email: [email protected]
