Former Brazilian president praises Marcelo’s diplomacy

Former Brazilian president Michel Temer has reacted to the current president’s decision to cancel a lunch programmed with Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa today. “I regret it”, he told reporters. “I think it would be a great moment to practically kick-off the celebrations of Brazil’s independence. A good conversation between the president of Portugal and the president of Brazil would have been extremely useful. It is a pity this mismatch has happened”.
