PORTUGAL’S MINISTER of Agriculture, Jaime Silva, has announced that the country’s forestry guards will be licensed to carry and use guns.
This change, which was approved during a ministers’ meeting on October 23, allows private agents contracted to guard forests to carry guns.
“The guards will also have standard national uniforms,” said Jaime Silva.
