Forced into prostitution

ACCORDING to GNR reports, four Romanian women, one of whom is a minor, have escaped from an apartment in Armação de Pêra, where they claim to have been forced into having sex with strangers. The case has been transferred to the Polícia Judiciária, who have revealed that two people, a Portuguese man and a Romanian woman, both in their 30s, apparently the apartment owners, are being questioned. According to neighbours, several men visited the apartment every night. A PJ spokesperson has revealed that officers are also looking into the possibility of the case being linked to a human trafficking network.
