For the MALO CLINIC a more ecological and sustainable planet starts with small everyday gestures that are literally in our own hands.
For the MALO CLINIC, its slogan — the art of creating smiles — is so much more than a mere marketing phrase. Transforming lives by creating smiles, increasing self-esteem and contributing to a positive change of life is a goal that the MALO CLINIC accepts with sincerity and which it wants to offer to all of its patients, including, altruistically, to many who otherwise would not have the means to do so.
This position of being socially responsible has been put into practice through a well-structured and effective programme begun over a decade ago. From among the various social campaigns run by the MALO CLINIC, is the free treatment of countless children and young adults as well as providing access to complex treatments for people in need.
Last year, in addition to continuing these initiatives which enable many people to face the future with other perspectives, the MALO CLINIC decided to extend its campaign to oral hygiene and the prevention of tooth decay among the young with an awareness campaign in schools from all over the country throughout May, which will be repeated in May 2020.
Furthermore, in 2019, the MALO CLINIC took an important step in the area of sustainability. Leaving the world a better place than the one in which we find ourselves is a concern that everyone should have. From this perspective, the simplest of daily gestures should be rethought so as not to put available natural resources at risk for future generations while making a contribution to preserving the environment.
The MALO CLINIC Green Kit, which was launched last summer and which has the support of one of the brand’s ambassadors, US surfer Garret McNamara, was created from this drive for an ecological cause that should unite society as a whole and can actually begin with simple everyday gestures like oral hygiene and which, by using environmentally friendly products, we can all make a difference.
The ecological kits comprise oral health and hygiene products such as toothbrushes for adults and children, a travel pouch, cotton buds, dental floss and even colouring pencils and a pencil sharpener, all made from plentiful, self-sustainable and biodegradable materials, like bamboo — one of the most abundant natural resources on the planet with remarkable properties that make it one of the most sustainable and versatile materials in existence — or activated charcoal, produced in an ecologically friendly process with highly absorbent porous carbon. In addition to these characteristics, bamboo is also naturally antibacterial containing agents that hinder the proliferation of harmful bacteria, making it thereby resistant to contamination with fungi or bacteria and contributing to a healthier oral hygiene.
Making the world a better place is a daily mission that is never-ending. Begin the change starting with the things that are closest to you and within reach. Try the MALO CLINIC Green Kit and let your actions speak for themselves.
