VILA REAL de Santo António will play host to an international youth football tournament in April, which will bring together 100 teams from 17 countries.
It is the first time the tournament, considered as the largest and most famous event in the youth team calendar, will take place in Portugal.
Teams with players aged between six and 12 will compete against each other between April 1 and 7. The event is organised by Football Clubs and Schools, established 14 years ago by former Argentinean footballer, Ricardo Godoy. Everton, Glasgow Rangers, Ajax and Real Madrid youth teams are among the competitors.
Teams from Brazil, China, Italy, France and Venezuela as well as first teams from Portugal will also be represented.
