The regional food bank, Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome, will be holding a weekend-long food collection campaign between November 28 and 29 in supermarkets across the Algarve.
The Faro-based food bank supports more than 3,800 families in the region through more than 70 charitable institutions. All donations of food and toiletry products are accepted by the food bank, however items most needed are dry foods such as biscuits, pasta, beans and tinned foods.
