Tavira council has announced it will continue to provide free meals to the municipality’s most vulnerable as part of the ‘Tavira Solidária’ programme.
Representing a €73,000 investment, the meals will be served in the Centro Paroquial de Cachopo, Centro Social Nossa Senhora das Dores (Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo), Centro Social de Santo Estêvão, Casa do Povo da Luz de Tavira and the Tavira delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross.
Last year, around 20,000 meals were served in the initiative.
