A PROPOSAL by the health ministry in Vietnam to ban short, thin and small chested drivers has been suspended after widespread ridicule.
Plans had recommended that people with a chest size less than 28 inches would be prohibited from driving a motorcycle while those deemed too short, under 1.4 metres, or too thin, less than 40 kilograms, would also be banned.
The plan has now been put on the back burner after members of the public protested about the possibility of police officers pulling over riders to measure their breast size.
