AlgarveShopping in Guia is due to hold a Flash Mob today (February 15) organised by the Portuguese Association of Perioperative Nurses (AESOP). The aim is to mark the European Perioperative Nursing Day. Nurses will appear as they normally are in an operating theatre.
AESOP wants everyone to participate in the event, including all the local nurses, so that the public get an idea of their daily routine in a hospital.
Traditionally, a flash mob consists of a large group of strangers who organise themselves, using electronic media such as cell phones or the internet, to gather in a public place at a specified time to perform a planned action, such as a dance, before dispersing.
