WORLD FAMOUS flamenco guitarist, Paco de Lucia, returned to his roots at the end of last month to play a sold out concert in Castro Marim, the birthplace of his mother.
The Spanish star was certainly made to feel at home, not least because many fans from his home country chose to travel over the border to see him perform in Portugal. The master of contemporary flamenco was on stage for almost two hours, performing many highlights of his illustrious recording career, which has seen the artist release more than 30 records.
Various flamenco voices accompanied the acclaimed composer and guitarist during the concert, and the show continued until after midnight, ending with a unique Portuguese style finale that caused the crowd to abandon their seats and flock towards the stage!
