Grupo Hotéis Real has invested 46 million euros in a five star development currently being built in Olhão.
The Real Marina Hotel & Spa, with 144 rooms, a spa with 10 treatment rooms, health club, conference rooms, swimming pools and two restaurants and bars, represents an investment of 28 million euros and is expected to create 100 direct jobs when it opens.
The hotel general director Lourenço Ribeiro said the five star project aims to offer its clients “the beauty of the Ria Formosa, still unknown to many”.
The development, which is expected to be built by May 2010, also includes the Real Marina Residence with 80 fully equipped one, two and three bedroom tourist apartments, representing an investment of 18 million euros.
“Our target markets will be mainly the Portuguese and Spanish markets, but also the British, Dutch and German visitors looking for a different type of tourist product that offers new experiences and promotes cultural interaction,” said Lourenço Ribeiro.
