Five people were rescued after a small boat crashed into rocks between the Camilo and Ponta da Piedade beaches in Lagos on New Year’s Eve (December 31).
Authorities were alerted at 5.14pm. As the area was hard to reach by sea, a firefighter team was dispatched to rescue the people, the national maritime authority (AMN) announced.
Two of the people sustained light injuries and received hospital assistance.
