Five-goal Lisbon thriller

Portimão coach Lázaro Oliveira returned to the club he began the current season with but saw his present charges outfought by a very combative Atlético eleven.

Fabio Felicio had given the Algarveans a 22nd-minute lead at the Tapadinha Stadium, but the hosts came back strongly to finish the first half in front.

A fine strike from Wakaso then levelled the match, and while Portimonense looked closer to achieving victory during the closing half hour it was Atlético who grabbed all three points with a last-minute Adilson strike to leave the score at 3-2.

Still only eight points off a promotion place despite the latest setback, Portimonense face their next challenge at fourth-placed Arouca tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.
