Fishermen in Vila Real de Santo António have donated 100kg of fish to local charitable institutions.
For the second year running, the Santo António de Arenilha Fishermen’s Association organised a collective fishing expedition in aid of Santa Casa de Misericórdia and Mão Amiga, institutions that provide meals to needy people in the council.
A spokesman for the association said: “We will continue organising these charity fishing expeditions as we know the donated fish provides essential food for poor families.”
