A 55-year-old fisherman drowned yesterday (July 27) in Baleeira port in Sagres.
His body was found shortly after midnight by fellow fishermen, who were preparing to set off on a night-time fishing trip.
They removed the body from the water and called emergency services, which declared death at the scene.
According to Correio da Manhã tabloid, the victim is Silves resident Rogério Candeias.
An autopsy is due to take place. CM adds that police are investigating.
