BUSINESSES IN seven counties in the Algarve, as well as several inland areas in Portugal, will benefit from a reduction in taxes next year.
José Sócrates, the Portuguese Prime Minister, has stated that companies who operate in the poorer counties will have increased fiscal benefits including the reduction of the IRC tax.
As well as the seven counties which include Monchique, Castro Marim, Vila do Bispo, São Brás de Alportel, Aljezur, Alcoutim and Vila Real de Santo António, 23 parish councils will also benefit including some in Tavira, Albufeira, Lagos and Silves.
