First national seagull census begins

The first national urban census of seagulls has begun. SPEA, the Portuguese society for the study of Birds is asking city and town dwellers to help them by registering seagulls, their nests and young. The initiative starts today and ends on July 31. SPEA adds that the best time to ‘confirm nests’ is during June-July.
