Armação de Pêra is preparing for a very special start to 2018, with a 15-minute firework show and a concert by popular Algarve band 5EX Band, all taking place at Pescadores beach. The fun starts at 10.30pm on December 31 with the concert by the local musicians, who will be paying a special tribute to Zé Pedro from Portugal’s top rock band Xutos e Pontapés, who died last month from liver disease. The 5EX Band is known for “their unique style” when playing versions of popular music hits from the 80s until today. At midnight, the firework show will begin, followed by more music from 5EX Band and a performance by DJ Massivechild until 3am.
