As many expected, former CEO of TAP Christine Ourmières-Widener is moving forwards with a law suit against the Portuguese government for wrongful dismissal. Key in the process will be her perceived right to indemnities due vis-à-vis the statement by finance minister Fernando Medina that there were none. Elsewhere, media speculation includes the possibility of Ms Ourmières-Widener being fined (over the illegal golden handshake payment that precipitated her dismissal) and/ or winning an indemnity of €1.5 million if she can prove wrongful dismissal.
