The Conrad Algarve Hotel in Quinta do Lago is hosting the Fire & Ice Party this Saturday, August 27 to raise funds for underprivileged children in the Algarve.
The event, which includes dinner, an auction, a concert and DJ, has as its main purpose to help children in need in the Algarve through local charity ACCA.
The evening will start at 7.30pm with a welcome cocktail and canapés by the pool followed by a five-course menu.
A concert by Sisters G will mix jazz, soul, rhythm and blues, while a DJ will provide non-stop entertainment into the night.
Dinner costs €95 per person (including food and beverages), but if you can’t make the dinner, the after party, from 10.30pm to 1am, will cost €30 and give access to the Sisters G concert and DJ entertainment (cash bar for drinks).
Organisers say the event is ideal to celebrate the last few days of summer while also supporting a good cause and asks those attending to dress in red or white to represent your “fire or ice persona”.
ACCA was founded in 2000 by resident Jane Oliphant who, along with a group of friends, wanted to organise a single event for a children’s charity. They soon realised that there were a lot more children across the Algarve that needed help and formed the Associação de Solidariedade Com as Crianças Carenciadas do Algarve (ACCA).
The association now has a permanent committee and team of volunteers who work with local institutions and needy families to provide support.
