SINTRA CÂMARA has approved four proposals to subsidise nine of the council’s fire brigades for the maintenance and purchase of equipment as well as training this year.
Each fire brigade will receive 31,000 euros for the maintenance and repair of fire fighting and protective equipment. A total of 170,000 euros will also be divided between each to pay for building repairs.
Around 2,800 euros will also be divided between each brigade to pay for training of personnel with Montelavar parish council fire brigade receiving an extra 15,000 euros for having organised a fire brigade awareness event.
