Lisbon’s iconic Sheraton Hotel was evacuated shortly after lunchtime today, due to a fire that broke out on the 21st floor.
Extinguished swiftly, three people had to be treated for smoke inhalation, including a Swedish man.
For the time being the cause of the fire remains a mystery, as too does the value of the resulting damages.
The Sheraton is one of Lisbon’s tallest buildings.
