A fire broke out at the premises of Inertegarve recycling company in the Ludo area near Faro on September 12 and was still burning at the time of going to press on Wednesday.
The fire had already consumed tonnes of plastic and wood, among other materials, but fire fighters managed to prevent it from spreading to a nearby pine forest.
PJ police are investigating the causes of the fire.
