World’s biggest cruise ship

NORTH AMERICAN company, Royal Caribbean, has commissioned a Finnish shipyard to construct the biggest and most expensive cruise ship in the world. This “giant” will measure 360 metres in length, be heavier than a nuclear aircraft carrier – 75 times heavier than the legendary Titanic, cost 1,033 million euros to build, will have a capacity to transport 6,400 passengers and will be just over 50 per cent bigger than the present record-breaking Queen Mary II. Still without a name, it is known as Project Genesis and will launch in 2009.
