Starting next week, companies in the Algarve can apply to the FormAlgarve programme designed to provide financial support of up to €3,800 to businesses that offer employees contract extensions, or which make temporary contracts permanent.
To receive the aid, companies must also provide training to their employees.
Portugal’s employment institute (IEFP) is accepting bids between Monday, January 16 and Wednesday, February 15.
To apply, companies should request a form from the Algarve’s IEFP delegation, and proceed accordingly.
Support can range from between €1,200 for companies that extend contracts for at least another 12 months to €3,800 for those that offer permanent contracts to workers previously employed on a temporary basis.
