Portugal’s Finance Minister was in the United States last week to address Wall Street investment bankers and hedge funds representatives on the country’s successes over its financial adjustment programme.
On Thursday in New York, Vítor Gaspar met with investment representatives from Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan and on Friday in Washington with IMF director Christine Lagarde and leading economist Olivier Blanchard.
