The third and concluding round of the prestigious Medis Copa Iberica veteran’s circuit will take place at Vilamoura Tennis next weekend. Former Portuguese Davis Cup players Bernardo Mota and Nuno Marques will be amongst those battling for Masters qualification. The various male and female age groups ranging from 35+ to 70+ also include players from Britain, Italy, Ireland, Uruguay, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Norway, America and neighbouring Spain.
On the professional circuit, Portuguese champion Rui Machado has had to delay his return from injury on medical advice and is now aiming to compete again in São Paulo, Brazil, from next Monday.
