Final goodbye from bookshop

A final farewell will be given from the Griffin Bookshop in Almancil tomorrow (Saturday) when owner Linda Taylor Gonçalves will close the doors after 18 years of business.

All are welcome to visit the book store on its concluding day of business to enjoy a glass of wine and a 30% discount sale on all new and used books.

Linda said: “Many clients have expressed a desire for a used book service and requested that I continue to fulfill new book orders for them, which I will be doing. I am hugely gratified to be able to continue working with books and my contact details will remain the same,” she added.

Starting on March 19 for a week, Linda will host a ‘Sale and Trade’ of used books event once a month.

Alison of Collections fashion for women will also be joining forces with Linda at these events to provide a monthly Almancil clothing sale. Location of this event will be announced by Linda shortly.

Tasters of Linda’s new food line, Chillidelicious, will also be available at the farewell event, including red chilli jam, triple chocolate chilli cookies and chilli cheese cornbread. She plans to launch her new brand at various Algarve locations following closure of the Griffin.
